From the past two modules lecture, I have learned every accounting method has the true objective of ensuring that accounting records are comprehensive, accurate, and comparative. This makes it easier for shareholders to study and extract meaningful information from a cash flow budget. I have also learned that when assessing a firm or evaluating an opportunity to invest, a financial statement is usually the first thing to look at. This is because, unlike the financial statements, the balance sheet represents a picture of business assets at a particular moment in time rather than over the time of a year. The cash flow provides a wealth of information that is more critical to consider to gain a comprehensive knowledge of a company’s stability and financial operations. I have also learned that Accounting rules also help avoid business issues by enhancing openness and detecting red flags.

Through interaction with my classmates and instructor while learning, I have learned to focus on ways that entail effectively reacting to other people’s thoughts. I have learned how to evaluate events and concepts, critically review ideas, solve new issues and apply traditional knowledge in new contexts involving starting a good profitable business. In addition, the interaction has enabled me to know the importance of teamwork in doing tasks given out by instructors in classrooms.

Finally, as my life career goal is in sports, as I have worked as a staff in recreation center coaching, the attained knowledge on how to solve problems and participate in teamwork will be significant to my life career and also invest heavily in my career and use the profit gained and savings to venture in other business opportunities. As I also love kids, the knowledge and valuable ideas I have learned will help me interact with kids pleasantly and carefully.
