As the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, I will recommend the following course of action to the president; eradication of our current catastrophic inflexibilities and vulnerabilities. It is critical to provide suitable strategic retaliation strength. Aside from this unavoidable necessity, we desire a competent, regulated power of selected reaction that can respond correctly to a broad spectrum of potential dangers. The suggested modifications will allow us to reduce our dangerous reliance on harsh and indiscriminate nuclear weapons to attacks intended against the United States of America.
The following military doctrines should be considered: The extension of the country’s domestic and overseas forces must be addressed immediately to achieve the key national security goal. More than any other battle in history, the conduct and result of a massive nuclear battle are worth worrying about. Deterrence could be guaranteed to work. This would be catastrophic if nuclear war became boundless and uncontrollable. The government must do all possible to avoid this calamity, enhance the war’s result, end it under advantageous military circumstances, and minimize the harm to our friends and ourselves.
Extensive military training to guarantee that if the nation declares war or engages in non-war military activity, the military services of the U.s can achieve strategic, operating, and tactical goals. They should also get training in the employment of anti-nuclear weapons.
To achieve significant national security goals, the government defense budget must prioritize current and projected military assets. Strategic and regional maritime defense task groups should be formed. Finally, the government should offer strategic capabilities that fit all of the above concepts and require effective global military and diplomacy.
