How Are You And Your Organization Using Social Media?
While working in my organization, I employ social media to market my business and discover what others think about the firm by interacting with consumers. It is easier for me to connect with my consumers, build online forums, and market and advertise my company’s goods and services via social media platforms. Customer information and loyalty are built via the usage of social media by the organization. It is possible to establish a two-way connection with consumers through social media technologies. Improved client service, brand exposure, and ease of access to data have all been facilitated by social networking sites. The company I work for uses social media for brand building. This is through increasing brand awareness which leads to the growth of the industry. Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook pages are great places to find new, extremely focused clients since the majority of the worldwide people use social media platforms. Social media is a one-way street for companies to communicate with their customers. For example, more than eighty-three percent of Social media users claim they find new goods on the network. Consumers and admirers may connect directly with the business brand through social media, and businesses can do the same for them. In contrast to conventional media, social networking allows for two-way dialogue. (Tajudeen et al, 2018)
Any Recent Changes in the Use of Social Media or Other IT Resulting From the Pandemic?
As a result of pandemics like the COVID-19 catastrophe, businesses across many industries and geographies have seen long-term shifts in business practices. Companies and organizations have reacted to the epidemic by shifting their focus to digital sites, and clients have followed suit. It is clear from the study findings that digital customer service is becoming more popular. According to these new findings, social platforms like TikTok and video conferencing in conducting business online are much higher around the globe. Since the financial crisis, people are three times more likely to claim that at most 82percent of their client’s databases are virtual. Effective crisis responders cite a wide variety of technical skills that others don’t, including addressing shortages for technology during the disaster, the use of more modern technologies, and efficiency in trying and implementing new ideas. (Wong et al, 2021)
What Are the Risks in Your Professional and Personal Uses of Social Media?
Social media presents several legal and regulatory dangers, such as the infringing of trademarks and copyrights, data security concerns, recruitment challenges, and breaches of personal privacy and digital communications misuse. Some folks are not happy about it. Use social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram to post inappropriate material, such as obscene or sexually explicit images or videos of themselves or others. For example, revealing phone numbers, birthdates, or locations to strangers and cyberbullying an overabundance of specifically focused sales and promotions. (Tahir & Husin, 2017)
There are also social networking risks relating to professional use, such as inaccurate brand building, being perceived as somebody who is hesitant to update social networking sites, loss of sensitive public image, and leaked data that raises privacy issues like Illegal access to a social networking site, service disruptions, and unintended infringement of regulatory obligations. We are all susceptible to making errors since we are all human. With the rise of social media, we have learned to be warier about phishing emails, but we are not so vigilant with them. Cyber-attacks, fraudsters, and fraudulent activity need one harmless click or downloading to get access to a company’s systems. Social media also has the potential for data breaches and the sale of personal information about an organization’s employees.
How Can You Maximize Social Media To Enhance Public Policy and Public Services Following Biblical Principles?
Ensuring there is transparency in the information being posted in social media flatworms. Transparency is essential whether you are running a company or a profession in any sector. Being transparent in the virtual world as much as the professional life is very important. To be successful on social networking sites, you need to build relations with customers, create groups and groups of people, and get to know them better. If you do not remain open, you might lose all you have worked so hard to build, and the company image could be permanently tarnished. If you are honest with your audience, they will respect and like you much more for it; therefore, there is no need to lie. (Bhargava & Velasquez, 2021)
Treating social media users as real individuals and not just avatars. This will help to maximize social media to enhance public services per biblical principles. As a result of this, this is the starting point for the rest of the rules. We should conduct ourselves in the same manner on social media as we would in the real world, avoid unethical and ungodly information, and be aware that every idle speech will be brought to account before God by believers.
