Think about the ways that we create, organize, and manifest social divisions? How do they appear or vanish into what seems “natural”? Who benefits or loses from these divides or stratifications? Produce a unique perspective on a world divided theme using your class sources. You can still address how we can come together but focus on what categorically separates us. Cite 6 sources from the class. 1.5 single-space page paper that compares at least 6 course sources (or 6 minimum but you don’t have to go more than that) and use stuff from second half of quarter, so you don’t end up writing a repeat of the midterm. Cite in any style you want.

For your second paper, you MUST incorporate and use materials from the second half. You can still draw on pre-term materials, but show you read and followed lectures after the midterms.

Consider how we are united? What brings people, groups, and communities together? Is it easy? What common struggles or goals are able to be conceived for humanity? Using class material, give us your own unique perspective on the manner in which our world can be brought together.
